IEEE Pre-University STEM Workshop
Theme: Empowering Girls’ Computing Future: Systemic Change for Gender Equity
The IEEE Pre-University STEM Workshop empowered historically marginalized secondary school girls and their teachers from Northeast Nigeria through mentorship, skill-building, and inclusive computing education. Introducing computing concepts such as Data Science, artificial intelligence, and Machine Learning to the secondary school girls, building their interest in computing and preparing them for the higher institution. The workshop featured interactive lectures, group discussions, networking sessions, quizzes, and a DEI-focused curriculum
